Refund Policy

Last updated: 28 September 2026

We want the refund rule to be something you can predict before you pay, so here it is in plain terms.

1. Before instruction starts

You get a 100% refund if you ask before instruction begins, whatever the reason. This is the refund New York requires every security guard training school to give, and it runs from the moment you pay until the first session starts — there is no 14-day deadline on it.

2. Once the course has started

Our courses run as a series of sessions. If you stop part-way through, we refund the part of the course you have not taken, in proportion to the price. On a course of eight sessions, asking after the third session means refunding the five you have left — five eighths of the price.

That is the same proportional scale New York sets for a course divided into four sessions (75%, 50%, 25%) and for one divided across two days (50%). We simply apply it to the number of sessions our courses actually have, which is the approach the regulation calls for.

3. What we cannot charge you

We do not charge a non-refundable registration fee, a cancellation fee, or a deposit. New York does not permit a security guard training school to assess any of them, and none appears on your enrollment agreement or your receipt.

4. If the course does not work

If you cannot use the course because of a fault on our side, tell us and we will fix it. If we cannot fix it within 14 days of you telling us, we refund the full price of that course whether or not you have started it.

5. If we withdraw a course

If we withdraw a course you have paid for before you complete it, we refund the full price of that course.

6. How to ask

Write to hello@libertytrainings.com from the email address on your account, or use the contact page, and tell us which course and roughly when you bought it. We will confirm receipt and tell you the outcome. Refunds go back to the payment method you used; how quickly it appears depends on your bank or card issuer.

7. Fees we do not hold

Fingerprinting fees and any other fee paid to a government body or to IdentoGo by IDEMIA are not ours to refund. Neither is a state application fee. Those are paid to the state or its vendor, and their own rules apply.
